Director of Business Development / Business Development Manager

About the employer
This is a highly sought-after luxury hotel representation company, headquartered in Switzerland but with offices around the world, including London. The group represents a selection of 5* luxury and lifestyle boutique hotels globally. They provide representation services including sales, PR and consulting on hotel development projects.
About the role

  • Identify potential 5* luxury independent boutique hotel clients around the world.
  • Generate and manage relationships with the hotels.
  • Promote the services of the company to the hotels and hotels’ owners.
  • Travel for regular face-to-face appointments with potential new hotels to convert new business.
  • Work closely with the founders and wider representation sales team to source new leads.
  • Hold site visits, fam trips and client entertainment overseas at the hotels when required.
  • Produce sales activity reports as required.

What we are looking for

  • A passion for luxury hotels and hospitality is essential.
  • A finger on the pulse of luxury hotels and new openings around the world is required.
  • Current experience within the UK luxury leisure travel or hotel sector is highly desirable.
  • Hotel leisure sales or travel agency or concierge sales experience would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of successful business development and account management is essential.
  • A self-motivated, driven, commercially aware and results-orientated and proactive attitude is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Language skills would be massively beneficial but are not essential.
